Pearson Education Australia is pleased to announce that the winner of the Pearson Education ANZAM Management Educator of the Year Award for 2007 is Nell Kimberley, of the Department of Management, Monash University. Nell accepted her prize of a plaque and $3,000 at the ANZAM Conference dinner held in Sydney.
In 2003, Pearson Education Australia, with the endorsement of the ANZAM Executive, developed the concept of an award for excellence in teaching as a means of recognition and reward for those displaying innovative approaches to teaching management, and as a way of furthering our support and partnership with management academics. The judging panel is selected by the ANZAM Executive.
The previous winners of the award are:
2003 – Dr Prem Ramburuth of the University of New South Wales
2004 – Dr Lea Waters of the University of Melbourne
2005 – Peter McLean of the University of Wollongong
2006 – Neil Paulsen of the University of Queensland
Each year, management educators around the country are contacted and asked to
nominate a lecturer who had demonstrated excellence and a significant
contribution in one or more of the following areas:
-
Lecturing
-
Tutoring
-
Student Support
-
Development of quality teaching materials – texts, websites, course materials
and software.
Pearson Education Australia would like to congratulate Nell Kimberley and thank all those academics who participated in the 2007 award. We would also like to thank the judges for their time and effort involved in selecting the winner.
The Pearson Education ANZAM Management Educator of the Year Award will be
offered again in 2008.
