2007 Winner - Pearson Education and Australian Psychological Society Psychology Early Career Teaching Award

Pearson Education Australia is pleased to announce that the winner of its Psychology Early Career Teaching Award for 2007 is Dr David Neumann from the School of Psychology at Griffith University. David will be presented with a prize of $3,000 and a plaque during the 2008 APS Conference in Hobart, Tasmania on the 23 – 27th September 2008.

This award, aimed at encouraging and recognising innovative teaching practices in Psychology, recognises outstanding contributions to teaching in terms of:

  • Interest and enthusiasm for teaching
  • Promoting student learning
  • Imaginative presentation of course material
  • Command of the subject matter
  • Participation in professional activities and research relating to teaching
