The Big Question magazine is a new resource for upper primary and lower secondary students in Years 5–9 to provide practical and realistic advice on skill development and different career pathway options. It assists children, teachers and parents in helping develop metacompetencies such as self-confidence, problem solving and communication skills that impact on lifelong, career-life success.

TBQ magazine includes:

• Interviews with positive role models and people who kids can relate to
• A range of interactive activities to assist learning
• Tips on developing life skills
• Personal action plans
• Answers to career-life questions.

TBQ magazine is Australia’s first career-life magazine designed to inspire and motivate primary and secondary students to learn about different career-life choices and to develop the foundation skills needed to succeed.

The Big Question Book 1 is an activity book for upper primary students. The Big Question Book 2 is for lower secondary students. These books form part of the career-life development skills resources. The books have been produced to assist the development of key skills and attributes such as confidence, problem solving and communication that have a significant impact on lifelong, career-life success.

In the books, students follow Max and Mia through a series of real-life situations and how they answer the big question: what will I be when I grow up? Through various scenarios, readers are encouraged to use their imaginations to consider everything that they can already do and how these interests and skills may be relevant to their career-life.
